• How do I renew my program?

  Your Membership and your Rescue Me Kit renews automatically each month. You will receive an email notification that your Rescue Me Kit is on its way. You can cancel your Membership and/or your Kit at any time by simply visiting the online store and clicking the Subscriptions link in the right side column. The Membership and the Kit are two separate subscriptions, so you can continue to access the website with a Membership even if you no longer order the Kit. If you have canceled your Kit, but wish to return to the program for either weight loss maintenance or health benefits, you can renew your program at any time for $139.00.

• How do I terminate my membership?

  You can terminate your Membership or your Kit at any time by calling Customer Service at

  Monday through Friday: 10AM ET - 7PM ET
  

  If you terminate your Kit subscription before your next billing date, your monthly Rescue Me Kit will not be shipped. After this date, you will be sent your monthly Rescue Me Kit and billed accordingly.

  If you are on a monthly billing cycle for your Membership dues you will be billed your monthly Organic Liaison membership dues on you next billing date. You can locate your next billing date by visiting the Subscriptions section of the online store.

• How do I track my order?

  Organic Liaison will email you an order confirmation that includes a tracking number from either FedEx or USPS. Please be sure to check your spam filter and allow emails from info@organicliaison.com.
  

• Does Organic Liaison automatically renew my membership?

  Your monthly and annual membership renews automatically. You will receive email notification that your Rescue Me kit is on its way.

Dieting

• Can I lose weight in a specific area?

  When you lose weight or fat, you lose it throughout your body, not just in one specific area. You can focus on increasing muscle mass in specific areas of your body through exercise. For example, do sit-ups daily for your abs or lift weights for your biceps, calves or triceps a couple times per week to see more RESULTS in those areas. It’s all about the FOCUS!

• Why do I have to eat so many calories? Can’t I lose faster on less?

  Initially yes, you can cut back on calories and may lose weight faster, but this also may cause a loss of energy, making it more likely you’ll regain the weight. Not fueling your body with calories would be like not putting gas in your car. Drastically reducing your calories sends a signal to your body that you are in “starvation mode,” causing your metabolism to slow down. Although it seems counter-intuitive, dramatically reducing your caloric intake may cause you to store fat and overeat as compensation for fewer calories.

• Does Organic Liaison offer meal plans for people with food allergies?

  Yes! Organic Liaison takes all dietary restrictions or preferences into consideration when customizing your individual plan. Simply mark your profile with any preference and this will be automatically built into your plan.

• How can I lose more weight?

  Weight loss is about calories in and calories out. You must have a deficit of 3500 calories to lose one pound. If you’re not seeing results, double check your food journals that you are eating six times per day and that you are exercising daily for about 45 minutes to an hour. To boost your calorie burning, focus on increasing your muscle mass. The more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn, even while you’re sleeping. One pound of muscle burns 17 times more calories than a pound of fat!

  Change your activity up by adding some more resistance training to your fitness regimen. Work on a minimum of three body parts three to four times per week. Exercise your larger body parts and muscle first, completing three sets of 10 to 12 repetitions. If you can lift the weight easily more than 12 times, increase the weight. Add other aerobic activities to your workout, such as walking, running, jump roping, dancing or biking.

• I am following my reduced-calorie diet plan and am still hungry. What can I do?

  Getting used to a new diet requires some adjusting. If you’re used to eating HUGE portions, or have never counted calories before, then it might seem like a drastic step to cut your calories by so much. We’ve conditioned ourselves to eat until we’re FULL, not until we’re NOT HUNGRY. There is a definite difference between the two. Chew slowly and enjoy your meal until you don’t feel hungry anymore. Another thing to try is drinking a glass of water – you might just be dehydrated. The body can confuse dehydration for hunger, which means it can cause you to overeat. Be sure you’re drinking eight glasses of water a day.

• If I quit my Organic Liaison membership, how do I continue to keep weight off once I’ve lost it?

  The Body Game is designed to give you tools for life, not just weight loss. Staying diligent through your weight loss journey means accessing these tools, retaining the information we give you and using them for the rest of your life. • Why am I not losing weight?

  Patience is key – gradual changes equal long-term success. Focus on writing down everything you eat and drink, right after you eat, so that you do not forget any calories. Aim to burn 1500-2000 calories more per week. Check out our Activity Chart to find an activity you like best.

• Why can't I find Organic Liaison products at GNC?
  GNC’s stores and business model did not serve our members well, and we received numerous offers from retail venues that were more conducive to our clientele.  Organic Liaison decided to cancel the exclusive contract we had with GNC.
  
• How do I search for a grocery store, farmer’s market or restaurant in the Organics Network Locator?

  All you have to do is type in your zip code. The Organics Network Locator will automatically find all the nearest organic grocery stores, restaurants and farmer’s markets in your area.

• How do I search for a specific recipe in the Organic Recipes database?

  Simply enter a food item or preference and the Organic Recipe Database will pull up any matches! This is designed to give you the variety to not only build recipes based on what you see, but also to also augment your weight loss journey by getting creative with your meals.

• How much does Organic Liaison cost?

• How do I create a fitness plan?

  First, set specific, achievable and realistic goals for how often, how long and what type of exercise you will enjoy putting into your day. Record your moving activity in your journal daily to monitor your progress. Find a Chubby Buddy or join a class to help increase your motivation and accountability. Invest in the equipment you will need to make sure you get MOVING, like good shoes to prevent injuries and free weights for your house. Remember, fitness is only one part of your weight loss journey. Setting up a reward system when you hit those fitness goal milestones will only help you stay the course, so be good to yourself and refer to “50 Ways To Reward Yourself.”

  Absolutely! Our weight loss program and products were specifically designed for those on the go. The biggest challenge in sticking to a weight loss program is remaining true to your program when the unpredictability of life comes into play.

  This is why we have great tools like the Organic Network Locator so you can find organic restaurants, farmer’s markets and grocery stores no matter where you are. We even have mobile apps coming soon for your PDA device.

The Body Game

• How do I change my goal weight?

  You can change your goal weight by going to your account page and clicking the Edit link next to My Body Game and simply adjust your goal weight. Please set a realistic goal weight that is within your healthy ideal body weight range.

  The formula for calculating Ideal Body Weight (IBW) is:

  Females: 100 pounds + 5 pounds for every inch over 60 inches (based on your height) plus or minus 10 percent.
  Males: 106 pounds + 6 pounds for every inch over 60 inches (based on your height) plus or minus 10 percent.

  For example, a female who is 5 foot 8 inches, her ideal body weight is 100 pounds + 5 times 8 = 140 pounds, plus or minus 10 percent based on her muscle mass. If she is more mesomorphic (has a muscular, larger frame), it’s appropriate to add 10 percent = 154 pounds. If she is less muscular (has a smaller frame), subtract 10 percent for an IBW = 126 pounds.

• Can I do this with another program?

  Yes, the Rescue Me system works very well with any other reduced calorie weight loss plan and can help enhance its benefits. However, one of the advantages of following the Organic Liaison Body Game is focusing not just on the reduction of calories, but on the overall health benefits of living a more organic lifestyle. The program will not, however, allow you to adjust your calories below your prescribed caloric level to ensure you are eating enough to keep your metabolism up and lose fat, rather than break down muscle or organ tissue. Having your weight loss come from fat loss is key to keeping the weight off for long term, as well as keeping you lean and healthy for life!

• How do I restart my Program?

  When you sign up for Organic Liaison, you are signed up for monthly or annual membership privileges. If you paid for your Membership in full, you simply need to purchase a Rescue Me Kit. If you were on a monthly payment plan, you can renew your program at any time by purchasing a Rescue Me Kit and a Membership plan.

• How do I sign-up a friend?

  We currently don't have a 'sign up a friend' program, but once your friend joins, you can link your accounts. Please click the Chubby Buddies™ button in the O-zone grid to find out how you and a friend can complete the Body Game together.

• How many calories should I burn while exercising?

• I'm eating within my calories. Why am I not losing weight?

  It can be a frustrating situation. However, hang in there. You didn’t gain your weight overnight and you won’t lose it overnight either. First, make sure you are journaling. Often, people lose track of hidden calories because they don’t mark down all the foods and snacks they really consume. Second, jump start your metabolism. Focus on increasing your exercise just a little more every day. Fifteen minutes more a day can help you shed an additional 100 calories! Aim to burn 1500-2000 calories more per week. • I’m eating organic and exercising . Why am I not losing weight?

• Looking at the Organic Liaison menu plans, why do I need to eat six times per day?

  Eating smaller meals more often is key to weight loss. Just the act of eating (digesting, absorbing and transporting food – the thermic effect of food) helps you burn more calories throughout the day, which helps you lose weight faster. Putting fuel into your body every three to four hours burns more of the calories you eat versus the calories you eat if you only ate three times per day. Eating larger meals less often makes you store more of those calories as fat. Follow the Organic Liaison weight loss program and you will be on your way to losing fat quicker and keep excess weight off for life.

• What can I drink on this plan?

  The most important rule of thumb for maintaining satisfaction throughout the day is to eat your calories rather than drink them! The best beverage is water – make sure you are drinking at LEAST 64 ounces (eight cups) daily. Fill up your Organic Liaison glass bottle and keep drinking throughout the day. Don’t be afraid to add non-artificial flavors like fresh lemon, lime or cucumbers. However, if you do drink anything besides water, be sure to record it in your daily weight loss journal. Herbal tea is another good option as well, and it compliments the Organic Liaison Rescue Me™ supplement nicely. Remember to keep sipping your cap full of Rescue Me mixed in water throughout the early part of the day!

• What if I don’t like one of the meals on my menu planner?

  The Meal Planner is specifically designed for personalization! Simply switch out foods in the menu planner to food items you prefer, and Organic Liaison’s Health Adviser will generate a new menu.
